Watching an amazing chef prepare beautiful and delicious food is always exciting. And to film that process in a unique and engaging way to be shared in under two minutes was certainly a challenge. This series consisted of three videos highlighting various Thanksgiving (or anytime) meal courses that visually instruct the viewer to replicate the recipes.

Sliced roasted meat with potatoes and wine glass on wooden serving board.
Chef preparing food on camera for cooking video production.
Freshly baked golden pie with decorative crust alongside pinecones on wooden table.

"HAVING CREATIVE CONTROL OVER THE ENTIRE PROJECT, I CAN APPROACH PRODUCTION WITH HEIGHTENED FLEXIBILITY. THIS ENRICHES THE CREATIVE ASPECTS OF PRODUCTION BUT ALSO STREAMLINES THE OVERALL WORKFLOW, ENSURING A SEAMLESS TRANSITION FROM PRODUCTION TO THE EDITING SUITE.”

The creative team wanted to showcase these how to videos in an overhead style to suit the vision of a number of food stylized videos you see online currently. By adding a distinctive visual effect that accelerates the video and then converting the frame rate, I was able to create a dreamy feel as the chef moves through the recipes. I had the privilege of working with Sommer Collier

from A Spicy Perspective, food stylist extraordinaire.
